Atlas Corps: Invest In Global Nonprofit Leaders
Dear Project of the Month Club,
We're thrilled to tell you that this club of generous givers has grown to include 153 people! Thank you so much for being part of this movement - we love to share how your donations unite each month to have one big impact on a high-performing project.
Last month you gave a combined $4,760 to "Atlas Corps: Invest In Global Nonprofit Leaders." Atlas Corps will use those funds to equip 60 leaders from around the world to learn from nonprofit organizations in North America and to then return to their home countries to address critical issues. The impact of this gift will only be amplified as these leaders grow and excel!
This month your funds will go to an excellent project called Empowering Guatemalan Youth To Promote Literacy. We're so excited about this project! Similar to last month's project, it's also about empowering young leaders to give back. But this project funds scholarships and leadership development training to a younger cohort: rural Guatemalan teens. In return for their free schooling and training, the scholarship recipients will give back to their community by leading reading activities with younger children.
We estimate that your combined efforts will provide scholarships for at least nine students for an entire year! Your donations will help transform a village! You can read the project's previous updates to get an idea of how other scholarship recipients have gone on to build libraries, to become teachers, entrepreneurs, and community health workers.
Thank you so much for your generosity - we hope you're as excited to learn about the impact of your efforts as we are to tell project leaders that they've been chosen. The Project of the Month Club may feel like just about a monthly email from GlobalGiving - but in reality, it's about changing lives and transforming communities both now and in the future! (There are young kids in Guatemala who will only have a chance to study and grow because of YOU and your gift this month!)
