Inception report on the GLOBAL GIVING funds.
At the beginning of this year 2023, we thank the donors of our project Professionalize and empower 180 Congolese families and wish them our best wishes for 2023.
Let us transmit with these words the thanks of the beneficiaries in Swahili Asante. We are helping to bring food security to every family in DRCongo Famine is becoming endemic here in DRCongo. But together, we can end it and bring hope. We are passing on the agricultural tools of food security development for future generations.
Support for the accelerated production of fruits and vegetables on 30 hectares with little money received at the moment from GlobalGiving, to start the project of short cycle gardens to help the population fight against famine and poverty.
Through a participatory survey of the NGO Coordination Technique pour le Développement, CTD in acronym; the seeds of vegetable crops and NPK fertilizers to start 30 hectares of fields of okra, celery, green beans and chives. 180 beneficiary farmers, including 115 women and 65 youths working in the Mwenda valley at the beginning of the rainy season.
They received agricultural inputs equivalent to 18.8 US dollars followed by training on production thus making a total of 3 384 USD with a minimum of fertilizers and insecticides. Although our team has made a slow start in raising donations, we believe we will do a better job in 2023 of securing the funds and donations needed to reach our goals.
