This project plans to build a breeding room for Amazonian fish, producing fingerlings of Amazonian fish and supplying seed to fish farmers in the Madre de Dios region, who in turn will contribute with food security with fish meat to the population, fighting the malnutrition especially of children
Currently, there are more than 100,000 hectares of water for Amazonian fish breeding in the Madre de Dios region, but there is no supply of fingerlings, leading fish farmers to bring back fingerlings from other regions, increasing transport costs.
Producing the fingerlings in the Madre de Dios region, implementing a fish breeding room
The serious impact would be that the production cost of fish meat would decrease, since the seed will be produced in the region and will not be brought from other regions.
