South Sudan on the Brink of Famine as Fighting Rages On. Aid agencies predict that South Sudan could be headed for the worst famine since the 1984 Ethiopian famine.
The United Nations has warned that a famine looms if there is no end to the fighting that erupted in mid-December between the government and rebels. More than a third of the nation's roughly 11 million people could be on the brink of starvation by the end of the year, UN officials claim.
Additional aid is needed to combat this alarming crisis.
It has started to rain very heavily, and the unpaved road to Omilling is completely bad to drive. We are committed to serving mothers and young girls, and through a land Rover Defender we are delivering the supplies to ONURA SURVIVAL CLINIC. In this last quarter, we delivered these items. four-birth mats, ten-box cotton wool, ten syringe, two-set umbilical cord clam, and 8-maternity pads.
Through your help more lives have been safe, and last month two young girls were under a critical condition when they were giving birth. They cannot give birth normally because their body too weak to pushed out babies. We took them to the main hospital where they get help.
After a quarter, a new update field report will be sent, so you get to know the impact your contribution create in the lives of new babies and their moms.
