Dear donors, advocates and visitors, Thanks for your support during the August globalgiving.org open challenge. We were unable to beat the challenge. But we participated and you contributed $175 for the malaria prevention project. Thank you. As I post a new project for the December open challenge.
Iam happy to report that the funds were used to do partially the project. We were able to buy 10 mosquito nets for 10 orphans in poor housing conditions to stop mosquito bites using the donated open challenge funds. NIRP raised other funds locally to provide a total of 75 mosquito nets. We were able to mobilise and sensitise 55 community workers and community health volunteers in malaria prevention and when to seek malaria treatment. All these were conducted in Gayaza community in Masaka district.
Thank you for your support and request you to continue supporting our work in rural communities. Your support and donations are giving a new lease of hope to people infected and affected by HIV and AIDS in Uganda.
