Project Description: Since emerging as the Equal Pay Campaign in 2007, PowHer New York has been the leading voice for women's economic equality in New York State. Through our intersectional advocacy, we have advanced an agenda that supports and expands protections and rights for women. The goal of all of PowHerNY's work is to eliminate the gender pay gap and create true economic equality and equality of opportunity in the workplace. PowHerTools for Economic Equality will equip women with the knowledge they need to ensure current regulations are enforced and raise the floor on what they can expect at work. This will be an empowering experience for women, and improve their lives through increased income, reduced discrimination and harassment at work, and greater opportunity.
