Besides Women Economic Development, our dream is to see Plastic Pollution Free Nation. India is one of the most damaged country environmentally and Plastic Pollution is a major threat in every cities, river and seas in India. We are sure our campaigns and project would bring the change. 1) Awareness about the hazards created by discarded plastics 2) Available Alternatives to the Disposable Plastics 3) Awarding a new life to plastic waste through reprocessing
Throughout the country, Waste Management has become a challenge to Municipal Staff. Highest portion of the solid waste including plastics have been subjected to landfill. However, disposing of the waste to landfill is becoming undesirable. Despite the challenges, ULB are doing well in collection but was not able to handle plastic waste 100% it properly. On the other hand, the plastics create marine debris. Every where in India, Plastic Waste has become a threat to human health.
Our project works in three effects. Environmental Consciousness is our primary objective. 1) Awareness about the hazards created by discarded plastics (behavioural change of single-use-plastics consumption) 2) Providing alternatives to the Disposable Plastics at affordable price. 3) An action education-oriented centre to be established for collection and Proper Handling of Plastic Waste, Recycling Process & Production of New plastic Items.
1) Certainly, the campaign will reach 5 states in one year. 2) Hopefully, our project would employ 42 - 50 women and rag-pickers with good dignity. 3) To clean 60 tonnes/month of plastics from the drains. Slowly, the collection would be from the door-step. Public would be educated. 4) The project will the best price to 210 rag-pickers in Viskahapatnam. 5) It will help the local environment.
