"Hope for Somalia" project has been going well for the past two and half months. Since it has been launched, the project has exceeded its goals. Fifty five (55) students have benefited from the project and have been able to have access to education in three different remote villages of Mudgu region, Somalia. Seventy percent of the students are female whom their parents could not afford to give them education opportunity.
East African Community Services (EACS) in Somalia main focus is working with existing education institutions in the country, particularly remote villages where schools and teachers are very limited. Beginning of December, EACS will hire a teacher for Laan Madow village, a small village West of Galkacyo to educate 75 students. It will be the first time this village and its children would have access to education.
To continue helping our children get the education they need, we ask you to continue your kindly support for the sole purpose of giving education opportunity for disadvantaged children in Somalia.
