Sonic Peacemakers delivered guitars, keyboards, flutes and drums to very happy school children of Green Grammar School in a poor neighborhood of Karachi called Korangi Town. The funds used to purchase the instruments were generated by the new 4 cd set "The Sounds of Pakistan and Beyond," which includes 57 artists of Pakistan who each donated a song for the benefit of Pakistan's children. The New Channel G1 TV was created to highlight all the positive people and attributes of Pakistan and they covered this event, as well as introducing Sonic Peacemakers to the wonderful children of Green Grammar School. This was just the first of what we hope to be many many more musical instrument giveaways for poor schoolchildren in Pakistan. Please see the link to the gallery of photos from this wonderful program below. With your help, we were able to put some big smiles on the faces of adorable and deserving kids.
On September 1st, we launch "Sonic Peacemakers Radio" on Pakistan Radio 1 91 FM (and Worldwide on the Internet). The show will feature Todd Shea and Lanny Cordola interviewing Western and Pakistani Stars, playing inspiring music, sharing message of peace and promoting the Heroes of Pakistan who are doing great things all over The World.
Sonic Peacemakers is working on putting together events all over Pakistan to promote and celebrate the release of "The Sounds of Pakistan and Beyond" and is working on producing two exicting new documentary film projects. Stay Tuned- details will be annouced soon!
Stay tuned for much more from Sonic Peacemakers :)
