Not all medications required by children and adolescents undergoing cancer treatment can be provided by the Chilean State, some of them are very important to treat pain, so Fundación Nuestros Hijos provides them with the indication of the treating physician.
Héctor,still receives at the Foundation the medicines he needs to control the pain caused by the irritation of the mucous membranes in his nose and mouth due to the chemotherapy treatment. This and other high-cost medicines not provided by the State are given by the Foundation to pediatric patients from vulnerable families during their treatment.
