The goal is to provide 17,500 free meals for 500 orphans through their orphanage homes for a period of time. This would greatly assist the orphanage homes to reduce the cost burden of feeding orphans and help focus attention on other key aspects of the orphans upbringing. About 20 orphanages would be selected to pilot the first phase of this project
The greatest challenge to orphanages is the provision of food for orphans. Indeed this form the major cost of maintaining any given orphanage home. A lot of abandoned children are so because the supposed parent (s) is/are unable to provide food for the child outside the other psychological reasons
Since good nutrition is an integral component of proper child development, we hope to with this project, ensure that the orphan child is well fed and fully provided for so as to enable him or her maximize their potentials.
