The project provides for a much needed computer room for 906 children ages 5 to 12 years old. The lack of technological opportunity is one more potential contributor to the achievement gap, leaving large numbers of children unprepared for success.Technology and interactive media are learning tools that will support the development and learning of young children.
There are currently 906 children enrolled in school without the ability to research topics which helps in preparation for advancement in schools. At the age of 12, children are required to take a GSAT test. Their scores will determine the school they will go to and the career path they will take.
By providing the tools to help the children succeed, they will be better prepared to advance their skills and learning.
The project will help with education of 906 children allowing them to exceed in school.
