The project intends to reduce income poverty to marginalized older people in 14 villages in Kasulu-Tanzania.
The foreseen impacts of the project is to improve living condition of older people in the area through establishment and supporting small activities which shall be lead by older people.
The problems older people encounter shall be addressed by inputs those shall be installed in small projects such beekeeping, Poultry, domestication of fish, Goat Raising and Vegetable gardening.
Absolutely Income Poverty
Older people in Kasulu district encounter very poor living condition as the results of absolutely income poverty. Income poverty is compromising almost 17,000 older people livelihoods in Kasulu whereby these are incapable to secure foods, clothes, good residents and health services.
The project is going to serve 2,100 older people as direct beneficiaries and approximately to 72,800 indirect beneficiaries in 14 villages in Kasulu district.
The project will solve the following problems to beneficiaries and community at large;
Improved food security and nutrition to older people,
Increased purchasing power to older people by increasing income,
Improved health to older people,
Better housing to older people and the entire community, and;
Improved social well-being.
All these shall be solved by the outcomes of the project implementation.
Improving living condition to 2,100 older people as well as a whole community (72,800) is what the project is going to solve.
Also, we are looking to unify the community with our beneficiaries by incorporating them in the processes of implementation of the project and marketing of the projects products.
A well social protection to older people and marginalized people in Kasulu district as well as increase economic development to the region of project implementation.
