Summary

Navigating transitions, making meaning of life in community: Help us host a Rite of Passage (RoP) for young change-makers from across the globe. The RoP is a transformative process designed to unearth meaning and direction in life. It gives youth space out of their ordinary lives to sense into deeper meaning and discover what they are called to contribute to the world. Your donation helps to make the retreat accessible for a diversity of backgrounds and supports a sustainable economic design.

Challenge

Right now the world needs young people who are conscious of the major shifts taking place and who are courageously exploring how they can best contribute to the ripples of transformation. The Rite of Passage invites people into the possibility that there is more to life than the status quo; it marks a transition into an adult life flourishing with meaning in community.

Solution

In indigenous societies across the world rites of passage mark the major transitions in life: puberty, adulthood, eldership. At each point we are invited to consider our core contribution to our community. Our rite of passage echoes this process. It asks the question: who are you and what do you want to represent and embody at this critical point in human history? It makes space for young people to write their future story, woven into the emerging bigger picture.

Long-Term Impact

In addition to rather direct influences on the lives of our participants, we envision that the ripples of the ROP will go much further, tapping into a systemic change that goes beyond the visible & linear. Our experience in the field suggests that these ripples start shifting relationships in the families & workplaces of our participants, freeing them to channel their full energy into creating a more just and regenerative world.
