ODTU GELECEGIMIZ FUND-TOUCH THE LIFE OF SOMEBODY

                                 GRADUATION CEREMONY ON ZOOM

COVID-19 affected us like the other countries.All the schools closed and passed to online educaton.But it brought some problems.After investigation one by one we determined the lack of internet service and laptops of scholarship holders.So we solved these problems by getting additional donations which were sent to their accounts directly from our graduates.Even by the same way we gave 1.000 tl to 35 scholarship holders whose parents lost their jobs.During pandemic we created new projects and sent to GlobalGiving in order to get new grants.For one of them JP Morgan Chase Bank sent 25.000 USD as its grant.We also wait to get 20.000 USD grant from Riot Games.Turkish economy suffered due to pandemic, many people lost their jobs or were not let to perform their jobs so most of them have very limited possibility for education of their children.Therefore many students will need scholarships.We are planning to inrease the quantity of scholarships from 360 to 400,We allocate all of the donations including which come through GlobalGiving for scholarships.
This year unfortunately graduation ceremony couldn't be performod due to pandemic.Mr.Aygündüz organized online ceremony,with diplomas and robes by using photoshop instrument.38 scholarship holders took part and expressed their feelings,thoughts and future plans .
Young Guru Academy(YGA) is one of the most important NGO's which supports the students who are interested in innovations, invited Mr.Aygündüz as lecturer to talk about ODTÜ Gelecegimiz Fund through zoom.
