Healthy communities are the backbone of strong, sustainable societies. But there are still millions of people without access to basic healthcare. We want to help change this. We will provide free healthcare services to over 5,000 people per year who do not have access or funds for basic healthcare services. This includes medical diagnosis, treatment, medication, dental care, nutrition and education in basic hygiene. Our goal is to have healthy communities enjoying quality lifestyles.
Nigeria has one of the lowest life expectancies in the world and sadly accounts for 10 perce t of the world's maternal deaths, partly because of inadequate access to quality medicines and healthcare services. The high level of mortality, and morbidity which accounts for 157 deaths per 1000 live births, non-attainment of international goals for health and survival, and the inequalities in access to health facilities are the challenges of rural populace.
We will provide medical and dental care, nutrition, basic hygiene tools and education to the under-served in our five project sites (Lagos, Ondo, Enugu, Abuja and Anambra). We will teach the people how dirty water contributes to poor health. We will educate the people on what precautionary measures are needed to prevent this problem.
The project will provide medical care, dental care, nutrition, and vitamins to the under-served people of all five states in Nigeria. This will provide their families with healthcare and make them more productive citizens and aid them in a productive life that is not possible in a sick state. This will improve the individuals' health and in turn improve the individuals' families lives, and in turn improve the community as a whole as the cycle repeats itself into a more educated one.
