From the GlobalGiving crowd funding, Community Action Nepal raised the total amount of $970.26. All the money were sent to Sindu Deaf School, Barhabise. Bank account.After receiving the money, School management team had constructed 2 temporary houses for mushroom cultivation and purchased necessary commodities for mushroom production.The production of mushroom started after 21 days of putting seeding in the poly bag. During the three month period, the school had produced a total of 481 kilogram of mushroom. Out of which 73 kg were consumed by the school students and teachers whereas, 408 k.g at the rate of 170 (US$ 10.70) were sold in the market.School had raised the gross income of Rs. 69360 approx US$ 690.The school family would like to thank all the donors who have supported in the mushroom cultivation for Deaf school.Ms. Maina Karki, Prinicple of Deaf school said that students were engaged from the very beginning of the project to the market management. She also added that she is confident that students can use their learnt skills when they go back to their home.She would like to thank all the donors who support them for this project and she has also requested for more support in near future as the school is planning to organize another vocational training on Goat Rearing.
