As per the thrust of the project, 3-day vocational training in Mushroom cultivation was organized to Deaf students. The project hired a local resource person to conduct the training.
The project also provided necessary equipments and materials for mushroom cultivation. Before the training, all the material was already purchased namely, hay, hay cutter, fire wood, mushroom seeds, bamboos etc. Apart from that two temporary shelter for mushroom cultivation was built.
Students were actively involved in the both theoretical and practical of mushroom cultivation. 200 mushroom bags were made/developed and hang in the temporary mushroom house. After the training, students enhanced their skills in mushroom farming. And the project believes that they can implement the learnt skill when they finish school.
