LEPTI Progress Report

Dear Friends, Partners and Supporters,

On behalf of New Era Educational and Charitable Support Foundation, a Jos-Nigeria based registered nonprofit with a mission is to build, support and empower teams of youth with capacities to emerge from a life on the streets, drugs and dysfunctional families, to becoming leaders capable of helping themselves and their communities, I am writing to express our most profound gratitude to each one of you, for the tremendous support and goodwill you extended to us, in helping us to meet the $4000 threshold during the GlobalGiving August Open Challenge. I am happy to report to you all that the total amount raised at the end of August 2011 was actually $4780. We have seen received the funds from GlobalGiving, after the 15% deductions. We are so very grateful. I want to thank and assure you that this money will be applied accordingly.

Just last Saturday, we successfully hosted and concluded the 3rd Annual International Conference on Interfaith Dialogue and Non-Violent Communication, at the Rockfield Motel, Rayfield, Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, with over 150 participants from Nigeria, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe and the United States of America. The Conference was co-sponspored by The Voices of Angels Foundation and the Jewish-Palestinian Living Rooom Dialogue Group. At the end of the Conference, the participants made a very passsionate appeal to our Governments at various levels, religious leaders, etc, to join forces in working for a peaceful and harmonious world. This appeal and other reports of the conference are now available at: New Era Educational and Charitable Support Foundation

I am very pleased to report tp you that the Leadership Education and Peace Training Institute, for which you helped us raise funds will now be conducted from 24th to 26th November, 2011 at the RURCON GUEST House, in Jos, Nigeria. We have received applications and carefully selected 30 undergraduates, drawn from Universities across towns and cities in Nigeria to participate in this training. We have also used part of the funding to purchase resource materials and equip our Leadership Education and Peace Training Institute well ahead of the training. In the next report, I will send you digital images, along with the Income and Expenditure Schedule.

Once again, on behalf of New Era Educational and Charitable Support Foundation, kindly accept our sincere thanks.

Sincerely,

Emmanuel Ande Ivorgba, Msc.D
