Many girls don't have the opportunities to truly realize their inner strength and beauty. The Pretty Powerful Campaign is committed to ensure that all girls receive the education, life skills and job skills necessary to thrive as people, students, workers, parents and powerful women. This campaign will also promote women's economic independence through career development, provide them with the knowledge, skills and experience to overcome the inequities and disadvantages that they face each day.
The loss of parents has serious consequences for a child's access to basic necessities such as shelter, food, clothing, health and education. Many young girls find they need to contribute financially to the household, in some cases driving them to the streets to work beg or seek food. Girls often leave school to attend to ill family members, work or to look after young siblings. Girls can't afford to pay for education and this leaves them with disadvantages & low income or unemployment & unloved
The Pretty Powerful Campaign provides girls with educational support and opportunities to improve their marks have a positive outlook on life feel proud & thereby their opportunities for further education and employment. We wish to run this project in conjunction with a life skill programme, thereby providing holistic education to girls. By supporting this program you give the gift of knowledge, skills & experience to girls to overcome the inequities and disadvantages they must face every day
Through the Pretty Powerful Campaign we equip girls to be role models for their peers especially in the area of education. We would like to develop leaders & career women & empower them to make a difference in their community. Girls completing Gr 12 also have no career guidance to assist them to make choices post matric. This campaign will teach girls principles of teamwork, good leadership, positive thinking, goal setting and responsibility, developing our future powerful career women & leaders
