As you may have seen, this past school year, Learn Fresh passed 150,000 students served since the launch of our first community program in 2013. In celebration of this incredible milestone, we recently released “An NBA Math Hoops Story," a documentary that follows students and educators as they prepare for the 2017 NBA Math Hoops National Championship weekend. At the heart of the film is the story of Angela and Patricia Rodas, twin sisters from San Rafael, CA, and winners of the inaugural championship. Check out the film here.
Over the past few months, we implemented the first NBA Math Hoops summer programs in Detroit in partnership with Detroit Parks & Recreation Department, Code 313, and Developing K.I.D.S. We are excited to continue working with all three of these partners to expand our impact in Detroit and Flint through the upcoming season. In addition to this work, the Learn Fresh staff have been busy laying the groundwork for the 2019-20 season, forging new partnerships, refining program materials, and developing new products!
