Project #3831

Help AIDS orphans go to school in Kenya

It calls for wisdom, love and patience in order to take care of needy children. With increasing children at this Centre, it has taken the committee and management a lot of wisdom of counseling, We have hard some children stealing other children’s books and pencils and running back to dumpsite in order to sell them, but the management has managed to bring them back to School. With combination of loving teachers, spiritual nourishment and our feeding program, the Centre has managed to maintain the 360 children.

We thank our donors who has helped so much in bringing us this far since the beginning of this year! The Centre has managed to integrate with a LOCAL CLINIC and has deposited a small percentage for supply of ARV medicine, which is very essential to these kids. Because without the daily ARVs, the children can not be healthy. We have managed to buy a few bags of dry maize and beans for their lunch and a few children have bought their school uniforms. THANK YOU BROTHERS AND SISTERS for your very kind donation towards these poor children, who, some of them do not know their parents. Again, thank you!

With escalation of prices in this country, the poor will remain poor and we do not see any way food, clothes and other commodities coming down in future. We have approached our local donors and what they would provide are promises, but we believe that one day this country will change and prices of commodities will improve and the unable people will have good purchasing power. We have many kids who are wishing to have school uniforms, shoes and books and we are believing in God that all these children will have School uniforms.

We thank God also to have been visited by the management of Global Giving. In April this year, we were fortunate to have been visited by Mr. Marc Maxson of Global Giving who inspired most of our children and teachers and on 31st May 2010, we were lucky to have been visited by Mr. John Hecklinger, Chief Programe Officer of Global Giving. For sure this has been an encouragement to have seen the two officers from Global Giving! They have seen what it is at this Centre, the need and desire of these poor kids stared at them. When these kids were told that so and so’s uniforms were brought through donations that come through Marc and John of Global Giving, they prayed and danced. They have composed a song on donors and and officers of Global Giving. Through YOU, every donation towards this School has made an impact and will continue making! Thank you brothers and sisters, these kids needs you in order for them to grow and live. Please continue supporting them and in turn, God, who sees what you are doing, will bless the works of your hands.
