Stroke Association Supportnetwork-Ghana ,the only stroke support organization in Ghana. Through its project : My Life After Stroke is an initiative/ project aimed to provide free rehabilitation/ care to stroke survivors in the deprived communities in Ghana where stroke care/ services are not available. There are 9,856 stroke survivors who are able to access rehabilitation and post stroke treatment. Where we bring stroke rehabilitation to the door steps of persons with stroke .
Access to stroke care and treatment at the community level is not available is this community ,Peki Dzake in Volta region of Ghana . An innovative community rehabilitation and support for stroke survivors is the key to improve the quality of life at the communities where stroke care and services is available.
The community Life After Stroke Is three months project to provide rehabilitation care to stroke survivors to improve their mobility and independence. Logistics and material required to provide care at the community level and physiotherapy and occupation therapy materials are needed most.
The stroke multidisciplinary team will provide the treatment and care required for stroke rehabilitation at the community level where access to stroke care and services in not available.
