By Alyson Swihart | Music Integration Director
The past month has been very busy here at Music in Schools Today!
We are happy to report that the 2012-2013 school year is off to a fantastic start. We are in planning mode, preparing two to three six-hour intensive workshops for San Francisco teachers in K-12 classrooms. These workshops will give teachers ideas on how to incorporate music into their lessons.
Additionally, the forty teachers who attended our workshops last year have also started new school years with new students! They will be able to implement the activities and lessons they learned in classrooms all over San Francisco.
Our partnership with Mission Science Workshop and KQED continues as well. More updates will follow as we work on these professional development events, teaching classroom teachers to use music as a tool for teaching math and science!
Many thanks to everyone who has supported our project. You are helping to bring music and music integration to hundreds of children in the Bay Area.
