Many thanks again for your support of Music in Schools Today!
We are thrilled to annouce that our Head Start Program began on March 20th at Oakland Head Start - Tassafaronga. Preschoolers are making musical patterns while learning about letters, colors, and shapes.
We are also pleased to collaborate with KQED, Mission Science Workshop, and the Crissy Field Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy. In partnership with these organizations, MUST is offering professional development opportunities for teachers to learn multiple ways to integrate music into their classrooms. The first one held on March 3rd, taught teachers from San Francisco Unified School District the physics of sound. These teachers then taught the lessons they learned to their students. We will be offering our next professional development opportunity in partnership with KQED and the Crissy Field Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy on May 31st.
