The project proposed to GlobalGiving was to raise funds to acquire new isiXhosa and isiZulu storybooks for our book donations programme. Thanks to the amazing donors on the GlobalGiving platform, we have just received our first disbursement in the amount of $478.91! This funds will now go towards purchasing approximately 100 new isiXhosa and isiZulu storybooks for our programme.
This is only the beginning! The funds raised during December 2017 will be sent to us by January 2018 and will also go towards purchasing storybooks in the above-mentioned languages. All of the books we acquire with the money raised on the GlobalGiving platform will be distributed to schools and children’s organisations throughout South Africa.
