Challenge

Children born with disability in the low socio economic areas due to lack of awareness of early pregnancy diagnosis, early prenatal care & inaccessible supportive infrastructure within the community resulting in poor pregnancy and the risk of avoidable disability of child.100 pregnant women and children with disability and in particular those with intellectual disability in the target group of low socio economic community will be benefited.

Solution

Identify mothers “at risk” & create sufficient awareness in the target community,through prenatal screening & thus possible prevention of children being born with avoidable disability and providing appropriate therapeutic & education services.

Long-Term Impact

Decrease the risk of poor pregnancy outcome & ensuring the health of 100 mothers & children of the target community.
