Almost 100 children, with no father and mother due to HIV/AIDS in Calcutta village in South Africa will have breakfast before going to school and dinner before going to bed. We provide monthly groceries to child and granny headed family with little to no source of income.
Over 20% of people in Mpumalanga south Africa are affected by HIV/AIDS. Poor Parents die of their infection and leave toddlers behind to care for themselves. Grandparents and adult children as young as 12yr olds become head of families and providers. Elementary school kids with a meal a day of just bread and water. Middle school girls have to stay home for days in a month because they can't afford sanitary towels. Hunger becomes a way of life. Sadness replaces joy. These are just kids.
The way to anybody's heart is through their stomach. We feed these kids and provide them with necessities and see a wonderful change in their countenance. The kids' performance in school gets better which will help them to further their studies and create a certainty of a better future. They can dream again, the girls can walk with dignity, children sleep on a full belly and now they have hope of overcoming any life's adversary. From a hungry orphan to a community leader one day.
Long time plan is From a hungry orphan to a community leader one day. 1. We give hope to kids experiencing hopelessness. 2. No child should go to bed or school hungry. 3. Hunger leads people to crime, by removing hunger we have curb crimes in the cumminity. 4. We can give African kids a chance to participate on the world stage. 5. You feed a child, you're feeding a generation.
