Holiday Meals for Military Families

Your Military Meals Contributions...

First, I'd like to thank you all for your generous donations. We're far from our goal, but the help you've provided will be used this holiday season to feed some very hungry heroes that deserve a delicious holiday meal. We're targeting active duty service members and veterans from past and present wars that need a hot meal this holiday season.

As you may be aware, service members numbering in the tens of thousands will be returning from combat in Iraq this winter. These brave men and women won't have an easy time adjusting back to life in the states. We know we're going to see a number of issues that we've seen in the past like PTSD, depression, substance abuse, lack of affordable housing and homelessness, unemployment and many other issues that are going to cause even more stress in the lives of these soldiers and their families.

I'd really appreciate it if you would all take a look and sign the petition on our website. Our goal is 25,000 signatures, so please be sure to share this with your friends and colleagues. We really want to get the attention of policy makers to make sure we don't repeat the same mistakes that we've made in the past when it comes to our treatment of our veterans.

Thank you very much for your ongoing support.
