In Mexico, the impoverished suffer from disease and violence. Opportunity can help to address poverty related issues in the midst of suffering by offering financial services to those who need it most.

What is the issue, problem, or challenge?

More than 40% of Mexico's 110 million person population is living below the poverty line. Opportunity Mexico was launched in 2004 to provide financial services for people suffering from unemployment and poverty.

How will this project solve this problem?

Opportunity's cutting edge financial initiatives and rural savings will help Mexicans find safe and secure places to save their money, as well as create business solutions for aspiring entrepreneurs.

Potential Long Term Impact

People living in poverty in Mexico will be able to sustain themselves through creating businesses that began with a loan made by donors and supporters of Opportunity International.
