We continue to work forward here at Spirit Acres Farm helping our horses meet the challenge for a better life. The constant need of any rescue will always be feed and nutrition, teeth and hoof care. We strive with all in our charge for the physical balance of the horse, walking without pain, chewing without pain and being able to digest the feed they eat in order to enjoy a healthy life. A horse’s body must be watched over as well as his state of mind, the same as you and your loved ones.
The horse in the domestic role depends on humankind to provide for them all the above mentioned needs, if we are to be their true guardians. Owner is a title, but to share life and tend to needs and to know your horse is about sharing life.
Achieving this makes us a lot more than a human who has a horse. At Spirit Acres Farm we watch over all we have every day and our hope is to find those forever homes with guardians who care to share. Meanwhile all goes on and needs can be overwhelming, just as in all our lives. Please help see that our basic list of costs and needs are met and know that every donation/gift is a part of the bigger picture, supporting life.
