Project Report | Jul 22, 2010
Only $800 left to reach the Challenge goal!

By Janine Kacprzak | Director of US Development and Partnerships

Water project
Water project

Here at FUNCEDESCRI we are excited to report that we have just passed $3,000 and are more than 3/4 of the way to our Challenge goal! We are so grateful to our donors and have been humbled by their generosity.

These donations will allow us to continue accompanying our partner communities in attaining food security and food sovereignty. Just this week 12 women in Tonraxtul learned how to make herb soup and amaranth & malanga sandwiches, farmers from Nebaj presented their amaranth products to buyers in a new market, and community members in Batzula organized to create solutions for problems with their water system.

We hope to be successful in this challenge so that projects like these can continue in our partner communities. Please consider sharing our GlobalGiving link and *new* promotional video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RI8H_1gtzu8) with your friends, family, coworkers, etc. in support of FUNCEDESCRI! We only have a week left to meet our goal!

Thank you again for your support of our partner communities!
