Abraham the Violin Player with Israeli President
Dear Supporters of the Ariela Foundation,
We continue to be extremely grateful and appreciative of your donations to the Maof Program for gifted students which is now assisting more than 20 Israeli youngsters (ranging in age from elementary school to university level students) of Ethiopian origin with great potential to excel. With your assistance, this program is helping to change and improve the lives of talented individuals that will become the future leaders and role models of Ethiopian Jewry in Israel.
Over the last few weeks we have accepted two new participants including a talented singer named Aviva, a first year student of Music at the Rimon School in Ramat Hasharon. Ariela assists her by providing funding for tuition fees and tutorial lessons in select subjects. As a very talented singer, she recently participated in the Israeli version of “The Voice” TV show where she reached the second stage.
Another new participant includes a 1st year student of Computing at the Technological College in Holon. Ariela now provides him with tutorial lessons in select subjects, assistance in locating a professional mentor that will provide professional exposure and job placement assistance.
Attached you will find two pictures of some of our older participants including Abraham, a 13 year old violinist that recently performed at at the swearing in ceremony of the new Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Israel and at a concert in Mishkenot Sha’ananim.
Another picture is that of Negus, a talented athlete and member of the Israel National Youth Cycling Team. He recently he won first place in the Modi’in Area Race.
