Dear Supporters of the Ariela Foundation,

We continue to be extremely grateful and appreciative of your donations to the Maof Program for gifted students which is now assisting around 20 Israeli youngsters (ranging in age from elementary school to university level students) of Ethiopian origin with great potential to excel.  With your assistance, this program is helping to change and improve the lives of talented individuals that will become the future leaders and role models of Ethiopian Jewry in Israel.

Throughout the fourth quarter of 2011, Ariela continued to deliver tailor made assistance programs that included tutorial lessons, scientific workshops, scholarships, educational/professional guidance sessions, one on one professional mentoring, after school enrichment programs, financial assistance with dormitory costs, financial assistance with travel expenses, funding of educational supplies, funding of professional equipment, piano lessons, voice development lessons, group enrichment activities and giving back to the community work.

One of our latest Maof program participants now includes a 23 year old female university student named Etti. She is a first year student at the Faculty of Dentistry at the Hebrew University and the only student of Ethiopian origin in her class.

Coming from a single income earner family, Etti serves as a role model to her younger sister and her community in the city of Ashkelon.

As a ground breaker in her community and future role model, throughout the 2011-2012 school year, Ariela will provide Etti with a scholarship to fund her dormitory rent costs and a professional mentor that will assist with her professional development.

As part of Ariela's activities, Etti gives back to society by providing weekly coaching and tutorial lessons to a younger participant of our Maof program, Orit, a middle school student and talented classical guitarist.

Attached you will also find some pictures of Maof Program participants whose lives you are helping to change with your kind donations.
