Come join the fun!
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a powerful and inspiring opportunity to unite as a community to honor breast cancer survivors and raise awareness about steps that can be taken to reduce the risk of getting breast cancer.
In 2013, the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Portland, OR has raised more than $200,000 to help the American Cancer Society fight back against this disease with breast cancer research, information and services, and access to mammograms for women who need them.
The progress being made in the fight against breast cancer is incredible but we won’t stop until we finish this fight - and we can’t do it without you!
Did you know that…?
- The American Cancer Society invests the most in research of any non-governmental organization to find, prevent, treat and cure breast cancer.
- Today, 1 in every 2 women newly diagnosed with breast cancer reach out to the American Cancer Society for help and support.
- The American Cancer Society is in every community providing free information and services and ensuring access to mammograms for women who need them.
- Since Making Strides began 20 years ago, breast cancer death rates have declined 32 percent.
THANK YOU to everyone who has already supported the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign. There are 2.5 million breast cancer survivors who celebrated another birthday last year because of people like you who made a donation.
