The American Cancer Society just wrapped up its 11th annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk and thanks to our donors, we have raised more than $140,000! However, we still need your help in the fight to end breast cancer and to reach our goal of $180,000. With the funds you donate to Making Strides, you are helping to save lives in many ways:
The American Cancer Society is the leader in the fight to end breast cancer and all cancers that affect women. We invest the most in research of any non-governmental organization to find, prevent, treat, and cure the disease. Currently, breast cancer research projects are under way at institutions across the country, thanks in large part to funds raised by Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.
- One of every 2 women newly diagnosed with breast cancer reaches out to us for help and support.
- We are committed to connecting people facing cancer with the information, day-to-date help, and emotional support they need in the communities where they live to help them get well.
- We’re in every community providing free information and services and ensuring mammograms for women who need them.
Thank you to all of our supporters and those who have already donated to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. We appreciate your support in helping to create a world with less breast cancer and more birthdays.
