Final stage!

Currently, she walks 4 miles to fetch water.
Currently, she walks 4 miles to fetch water.

Thanks to you, we are very close to completing our borehole project. The well has been drilled and water is flowing. We are now working to purchase and install a pump and pipes to bring this precious resource from the borehole into the Makindu Children's Centre's kitchen. This will greatly aid the staff in cooking meals and cleaning up afterwards. We will also pipe water to the Centre's laundering and bathing facilities. This will be the first time the kids and staff will experience water from a faucet! We are already using the flowing water for the shamba (farm), providing water to the cows, goats and chickens as well as watering the maize (corn), beans and other vegetables. Asante Sana! (Thank you very much) for your continued support.
