Challenge

Managing menstruation safely, hygienically, and with dignity is a challenge to most girls in low income families. This was exccarbeted by the covid19 pandemic. All of these constraints can lead to poor menstrual health management and significant health and psychosocial implications for women and girls including social exclusion and vulnerability.

Solution

Girls are able to menstruate with dignity when they have access to safe menstrual hygiene materials. Your support for this project provides girls quality washable sanitary pads and important reproductive health, hygiene and safe spaces for managing menstruation.

Long-Term Impact

This effects current and future generations of women and men, playing an imperative role in breaking the cycle of Period poverty. Communities are empowered to discuss and provide feminine hygiene, health and sanitation for themselves and others.
