By Linda Parsons | Lunch Buddy Program Coordinator
The Lunch Buddy Program currently has over 70 Lunch Buddy mentor matches this school year. We are hoping to recruit 15 more Buddies this year to help meet the demand of kids on waiting lists at each of our North Clackamas Elementary Schools.
All it takes is one hour a week to help make a difference in the life of a child. The kids in our program need someone to be their friend, listen to them and watch them play. Lunch Buddy mentors visit their Buddy once a week during lunch and lunch recess. They provide friendship, support and positive role modeling. A great Lunch Buddy is consistent, dependable and flexible.
