Lunch Buddies Matter

By Kathy Harrison | Lunch Buddy Mentors

Buddies
Buddies

Approximately 80 students have a lunch buddy this school  year. A lunch Buddy is someone to eat with, someone to talk to, someone to listen to, someone to laugh with, someone a child can depend on to be there for them.

Our kids need you.

  • Volunteering just 1 hour a week will put a smile on your heart.
  • Youth who meet regularly with their mentors are:
    • 46% less likely to start using illegal drugs than their peers
    • 27% less likely to drink alcohol
    • 33% less likely to engage in violence

Donations to this program have been coming in strong. These donations help to ensure that the program continues to run and students get the support they need from mentors.

Have you thought of making the diffierence in a child's life? Donations of time, talent and treasure are welcomed.
