Project Report | Mar 11, 2009
children with severe disability

Severely disabled children at our center
Severely disabled children at our center

Our experience of working with rural disabled for more than ten years made us to rethink about our core area of activities.During the past years due to activism and Government welfare schemes the disabled generally are getting some benefits like pension, livelihood support etc.But there is a sector that is totally neglected because of the intensity of the problem and the lack of trained hands as well as dedicated persons.I would like to emphasize the cases of children with severe and profound disability.Hence we have taken special interest to set up a DAY CARE Center for such children. This will be the first of its kind in this part of the country. However we need to construct a Center. But where to look for support? We need about US$25000-. for this purpose.
