Challenge

There are thousands of Yanadi Tribals in Andhra Pradesh struggling for their survival and existence every day. The children of yanadis at Ghat Road in Mangalagiri are losing their childhood day by day without proper literacy education and nutritious food security due to the very poor economic conditions, social backwardness, illiteracy and ignorance of their parents. This pathetic plight of the children made us to think seriously and plan a holistic development project for restoring their lives.

Solution

In order to bring changes among these tribal children we have to extend long term solidarity services for organizing Yanadi Tribals and to initiate children education development activities along with the supply of nutritious food at their door step for mainstreaming them instead of simply leaving them as street children. To achieve this task, Kanthi Samstha is looking for solidarity, cooperation, partnership with financial support through GGF, USA.

Long-Term Impact

To transform the most pathetic life situations of 40 Yanadi Tribal Children, the feeding cum children education promotion center will help for improving the literacy and food security levels and also show the way for realizing the importance of childhood by their parents. This project also build the way to recognize the importance by the respective authorities of the Government for supporting this kind of activities for the well being of the most deserving and very poor tribal children.
