Approximately 20 million Malagasy people live in darkness with fear due to lack of regular access to reliable electricity. The total number of populations in Madagascar is 26,262,368. Most households use kerosene lamps which obviously are the source of indoor pollution and fire. Clean energy can address this issue. To date, 34 households working with Isalo national parc benefited from the project. Help us raise $3,720 to sustain our efforts and improve lighting for more porters
Access to electricity remains low with about 20% of the total population. Only 5% have access to electricity in rural areas. For most Malagasy households, especially in rural areas kerosene and candles for lighting are the most important energy sources
We are joining efforts with the regional tourism board of Ihorombe to ensure basic human rights are met for our beneficiaries. With our partners we have delivered 22 solar lamps in order to expect more positive impacts on the environment. Solar lamps can positively affect a family's situation by using a high side lights as desk lamps or during nocturnal camping within the national parc. The device is equipped with solar charging USB output and input to recharge cell phone
Thanks to the continued support and commitment of donors and partners, we will continue to unlock people's potential to rise out of poverty and to provide for their well-being
