Double Your Impact: Save Lives in Ukraine

In July, thanks to the support of GlobalGiving and donors worldwide, Lifeline Ukraine was able to continue providing psychological support during one of the most difficult times of the war.

Impact in numbers:

$1,389 raised during the “Together for Ukraine” campaign = 126 additional hours of hotline work

These donations directly translated into real conversations with people in crisis: those struggling with suicidal thoughts, PTSD, grief after losing loved ones, domestic violence, anxiety, and depression. Each hour funded meant one more voice on the other side of the line, one more life supported in a critical moment.

Thanks to this campaign, we managed to expand our working hours. Today, our hotline is operating every day from 16:00 to 8:00, covering the night hours when crises often intensify. But even with this, the demand remains far higher than our current capacity. In July, we could only respond to less than one-fifth of all requests.

New campaigns are coming, and we warmly invite everyone — both those who already supported us and new donors — to join again. Every dollar matters. Every hour saved means a life that continues.

This July, our Lifeline Ukraine team worked tirelessly to support people in crisis across the country. Thanks to your generosity, our consultants provided 1,202 lifesaving consultations — each one a moment where someone was not left alone in despair.

Altogether, this represents 440 hours of counseling, including:

• 138 hours funded by Rozumiu donors,

• 186 hours supported by the Life Line Foundation,

• and 116 hours generously volunteered by our specialists.

Behind these numbers are real people: survivors of trauma, families facing loss, veterans struggling with PTSD, and individuals fighting loneliness or suicidal thoughts. One recent caller told us, “I didn’t think anyone would answer. But your consultant gave me hope that I could get through another day.” 

In total, Lifeline Ukraine received 6,421 requests for help in July, of which we were able to respond to 18.7%. With more stable funding, we could reach even more people who urgently need this support.
