Around 900 farmer suicides were reported in the eight districts of Marathwada region of Maharashtra State India, between January and October last year. Farmer suicides are not just due to crop failure or mounting debts, "There are several factors behind their suicide. It could be family pressure or illness, We started with helping the families of farmers who are drought affected since 2015. This help was initially at a personal level. The help package included a rice and wheat 5/kg and 10/kg etc
In the region of Marathwada of the Maharashtra State India is amongst the worst hit by drought every year causing local farmers to give up on their lives. While the government may take its own initiatives to abate the plight of these farmers and their families, we as individuals can also make a little difference. I am committed to stand by these families who have no means of livelihood and are being driven to death. started helping the families of farmers for food and livelihood
This project help them to survive before the cultivation period, and encourage them to cultivation bye providing quality seed and fertilizer for stand them economical and social. We are work on these drought prone area and understand the need of water shade development in these villages. awareness on the environment issue and promote the plantation activity at every village of field. we also encourage farmers to adopt new crops methods to increase his family income.
It will impact at long term when farmer become stand at his own level by his regular earning, naturally suicide percentage will stop in these area. We plan to setup Drought Management center at district level and every village we plan to open Agriculture Development center for the farmers.
