A giving of $10, $20, $25, $50 per person, from a cluster of twenty, ten, eight and four people, for 50 unemployed youths and women in Ikorodu, Nigeria; with this, each youth can start a textile/hat & bead craft business, printing tech, photography business, footwear production outfit, make-up art studio business, piggery farm, dressmaking outfit, cassava mill, poultry farm and fish farm etc. This is based on their vocational interest and skill acquired from our prescribed training for them.
There is a huge unemployment gap in our community and country at large. This has resulted into high rate of crime incidents, such as: rape cases, promiscuity, banditry, school drop outs syndrome, disruption of family values and inadequate parental care, drug addiction etc, among the youths in our community.
The project will give a new source of socioeconomic empowerment to the youths and women. Engage them for a positive and profitable venture, which will reduce the poverty level and gradually eliminate crime among the youths as they earn a legitimate living.
Each participant shall have capacity to create further wealth and opportunity (ies) for themselves and others, giving that they shall become employer of labour. They shall be able to promote peace and good family values in the community. They shall become good role models to other youths and contribute to the GDP growth of the country.
