The project is aimed to protect 50 adolescent girls of 5 villages of District Tando Muhammad Khan at risk of early marriages through provision of educational support by provision of transportation support to continue further education from 8th grade to matriculation. Families of these 50 adolescent girls have poor socio-economic profile and poor means of livelihoods and unable to bear expenses of further education of their girls so these girls vulnerable to early marriages.
It was found during SCF survey that a number of 50 adolescent girls who have passed middle school are passing middle school in five villages l but due to unavailability of the nearby school in their locality their parents could not be bearing extra travel cost to send them to get further education thus its is a risk for those girls to be victim of early marriages because parents have poor means of livelihoods mostly they are farmers and land less peasants or wages workers.
The project solve this problem through parents mobilization and awareness on worst impact of early marriages and legal aspects of Sindh Child Marriages Restraint Act 2013 and importance of girls education. The project will support 50 girls with transportation cost for at least one years and beyond till they complete a certain level of education from six to 8th and from 8th to 10th classes. Those girls will take coaching classes for more 150 uneducated in their respective villages.
