Our Managing Director, Kalya SAMPO and our Deputy Managing Director Erwann BAGOT, took part in interviews to tell us about this particular year marked by metamorphosis. The metamorphosis of the young people we support, of the team and finally of our structure which today bears a new name: Les Idéateurs.
Why these changes? How this decision has changed the future of our association, they answer all questions without taboo.
This pair, who describes themselves as efficient, confident and complementary, is committed to the team and to the mission with regard to young people. Voluntary, they show a strong capacity for work to echo the real needs of the young people and adults who accompany them.
This interview was conducted on October 18, 2022, a few months after many challenges faced...
1# For you, how is your entrepreneurial spirit ? your state of mind at the moment ?
Kalya : The state of mind at the moment is combative due to the many challenges to be met. We know that we are expected at the turn by our ecosystem. We know why we do what we do. We want to meet the expectations and needs of young people. Our team is committed and carries with us the values of our association.
Erwann : For me, he is persevering, there are ups and downs but we continue to move forward, despite the more or less difficult waves to cross, we are moving forward. We did not accomplish all of this to stop in the way.
2# Can we afford to doubt when we are an entrepreneur ?
Kalya : Yes it's normal, it's part of the game, if we don't doubt it's because we don't take risks. We don't know what tomorrow is made of. It's part of the thinking. It's normal to doubt but you have to be well surrounded.
Erwann : Asking questions is normal, the idea is not to be paralyzed by doubt. It's doubting to keep moving forward, it's not doubting to stay stuck.
3# What are the reasons that pushed you to make this change?
It is by humming the famous song "No, I don't regret anything" by Edith Piaff , that our partner answers this question.
Kalya : The decision to change the scale of our association was taken by our governance with our board of directors. We do not regret this choice because it allows us to breathe new life and work more freely. We want to offer new courses adapted to the needs of territories and young people and bring innovation thanks to our experience.
Erwann : It's a real gain in freedom with a share of risk assumed, to innovate; it's a gain of freedom to undertake, more opportunity and freedom to build according to feedback from the field: build tailor-made.
A need to adapt our support according to the needs of the territories.
4# : How was this transition ? What were the key steps ? From decision-making to formalization ? What obstacles did you face ?
The pair come together to say that the transition was not easy. It's a coordinated change of identity in 6 months, it caused stress.
It's a long process still in progress, several times of reflection, several exchanges with the different authorities, some internal changes since the summer of 2021 have made it possible to homogenize the team and get everyone on board in this transition.
Erwann : From January 2022, there was a real alignment for change, a click between governance and the team. The communication-events team and the educational team and all the colleagues have given a boost to the transition. We went through a delicate stage in the summer of 2022 and following the start of the school year because we were really in the thick of it. Our name was now official. We apply what we transmit to young people, we undertake!
Kalya : To answer on the part of the obstacles, we had a lot of human resources issues, we wanted to pay attention to the team and ourselves to the management, because the changes made can generate frustrations, tensions and stresses internal: we are all committed to wearing the colors of the association. On the financial level we also had our concerns: leaving a federation involves risks… Will the partners believe in our project…? Several questions and doubts we had. Fortunately, the partners follow us thank you!
5# : We are 6 months after formalizing the new name and this freedom, what has the change brought/learned to you? Can you give us a brief summary ? (Changes made, new features, etc.)
Kalya : To take stock in a few words... this challenge teaches us to get out of our comfort zone, we know that we are expected at the turn, we have competitors... But our strength is the team - the team that leads the actions, it is thanks to the team that we managed to accomplish what we accomplished in 6 months. A strong adaptability of the team which has been able to recreate a universe and a visual identity, work on an overhaul of our pedagogy and our courses, meet our partners and exchange with them to present our evolution in a very short time time while maintaining the daily actions of the association.
We will make mistakes. But error is formative. The learnings of this transition on legal concepts, communications, on ourselves, on our ability to gain height in relation to events have forged the association that we know today.
We had times when we wanted to give up, but to see the team being motivated and not giving up remotivates and makes you want to give it your all.
Erwann : To complete, I would say that we are capable of doing great things. It's far from over, but as Kalya said , we sincerely believe that without a collective we won't get very far, build a collective, manage a daily newspaper, we have to balance it out, be fair as much as possible. .
The notion of the collective is important because it allows us to move forward. This kind of project and transformation teaches us a lot about people and about management and relationships in the broad sense. The carriers of this transition are also important, Kalya has a 360° vision on all subjects, the board of directors, the office… you have to learn to work with others. We learned about ourselves, to better understand our strengths and weaknesses, to work on letting go, to disconnect and delimit work and staff. Thanks to our partner, we were able to recharge each other, we would like to be able to put the pause button to blow off all this learning.
The metamorphosis initiated by the team gave birth to the association Les Idéateurs. A word that combines the terms 'idea' and 'actors' to put ideas into action and dare to undertake. For Kalya and Erwann , our management, an Ideator is someone who takes risks, who does not lack ideas, creativity and imagination, he is someone who has the courage to put his ideas into action. . In an Ideator, there is this desire to transform the world with his ideas, whatever its scale, it is to seize the opportunities and get started.
We are all a little Ideateurs.
6#: What are the assets to follow / set up a project with Les Idéateurs ? What does it take to join The Ideators ?
Kalya : To join us you have to be motivated, want to share, share a new human adventure with several actors, supervisors, want to commit to the cause of youth and want to pass on your knowledge.
Erwann : You have to have strong convictions about young people and see them as people capable of achieving great things – they are not young people in their world and one day they will come to the world of adults – no. Young people can bring their vision into the adult world, there is no age limit for assuming responsibilities. We must adhere to the cooperative mode of operation: we will go faster and further together. Our adult posture evolves, with a strong desire to share, to exchange, we must be benevolent and bring our personality to others.
7# : Why should we closely follow the adventures of the Ideators ?
Kalya : Joining our adventure means being in contact with young people, it means growing together, partners, seniors and young people. We create intergenerational links to better understand the problems of young people, to learn how to better move forward together, and support future generations. Everyone we meet says, “I would have loved to do that when I was young. ".
It's always a blast working with young people and sharing strong moments with a dynamic team!
Erwann : At Les Idéateurs, there are plenty of soap operas, plenty of seasons with twists and turns. Youth is multifaceted, with different universes, we give them the means to act, to express themselves and to give them a place. We break down stereotypes about youth, it's a message of trust. There is potential and they will have resources for tomorrow. You will leave Les Idéateurs saying to yourself: “Finally, lots of things are happening with young people, young people are getting active! »
8# : What are the future projects of the association Les Idéateurs ?
It is with smiles and eyes full of lights that our partner answers us.
Kalya : It's top secret! We can't reveal everything now! What we want is to develop suitable courses and build partnership alliances with the various economic players on a national scale.
Erwann : We believe in our project, there are still a lot of things to do and we would like to involve many partners, diversify what we do and provide answers to needs. We want to develop qualitative tools, innovative methodologies and better coordinate with the economic world.
A special year of metamorphosis thanks to which Les Idéateurs were able to reconnect with their origins. A time for retrospection and another for projection, this evolution allows the structure to bounce back and rebuild itself, in a new dynamic. The strength of the team and its ecosystem, the mobilization of actors in favor of youth and the deep belief in a fairer world so that young people can find their way/voice whatever their social or territorial origins gives life to projects, to ideas, to Ideators.
To end this interview, we asked our partner to tell us which animal would be the association Les Idéateurs. For Kalya , we would be the master panda dragon* because he knows how to get into action when necessary. The panda is the combination of strength, determination and gentleness. Erwann , for his part, sees Les Idéateurs as the panther Baguera**. The panther is flexible and lands on its paws, it knows how to defend itself and is quick, it is a courageous and protective guardian.
These two animals echo the actions that we want to carry out, with determination with young people, while giving them the means to protect themselves, dare to take up challenges, dare to move forward, dare to undertake their projects, their dreams, their future, their life.

We are really proud of our beneficiaries who became more and more responsible and interested through the experience; and we would like to thank teachers and coachs who help them to be more independant and professional.
To continue our actions and sensibilized always more and better, Entreprendre pour Apprendre Ile-de-France is evolving and is becoming .... Les Idéateurs.

Despite the difficult context, it was essential for us to maintain and reinforce our actions in favor of French Youth.
We manage to adapt our annual events, such as young people can present their works to professionals, and can be proud of what they did.

“If you can dream it, you can do it” Walt Disney, it’s with this motto that we make young students from 9- to 25-year-old mindful of the entrepreneurship’s spirit.
Through our educational program “The company program”, we guide them to a concrete experience, dynamizing, which revel their potentials.
In an open space, with no bounds, no prejudice by promising ourselves that everything is possible.
Our purpose is not to give a fictional or naïve representation of business, we make young students actors of their career choice and or their future by giving them tools and tips to start their professional life.
It’s a real experience that can be used in a curriculum vitae. We broke the standards and undo the institutional representation of the Enterprise to let the new generation lead their future.
Absenteeism, disengagement, school dropout are subjects that our team care about. One thing is clear: the new generation is far away from business’s world and the current education system doesn’t suit them anymore. They need to become leaders of their project and life so they can comprehend life’s uncertainty.
Our analysis made in 2019-2020 scholar year shows us that our non-profit organization action enables the new generation to change positively their thoughts about school and work’s life.
56% students maintain that the company program changed positively their interest in school
64% students that the company program changed positively their interest in work life
68% students to bethink the company program to be useful for their professional life
89% students never had the opportunity to be part of an entrepreneurial project at school.The result of our analysis is based on 582 students who replied to our survey before and after being involved in the company program.
Connect School and Enterprise: our purpose
Through our company program, students try several professions we can find in a business. As if they are adults, they are doing missions such as management, production, financial, communication, administration, commercial…). They develop base skills useful in the business industry: teamwork, pitch, what a budget…
Teachers and mentors change their position and work for a project, together with the students. It an adventure that empower common intelligence.
Because the most beautiful enterprise is the one that we create together.
