BRC's mission is to uplift destitute orphans, children and households from ravages of poverty. One of our primary goals is upkeep for this lot. We have initiated various projects that can sustain our mission. We are raising funds to purchase one day old chicks to keep that can lay eggs which will help in supporting us towards buying food, cloth, primary health care, education, recreation and shelter.
Presently we have a small garden and few hens that caters for the 30 children under our program. We are unable to cater for all their basic needs and we feel like with little support we can be able to sustain this children and make them comfortable.
If we get the chicks that we require, we shall be able to sell their produce after 3 months and make funds that can be converted into food, clothing, basic need, recreation and they will also have eggs in their diet.
BRC shall fully gain strength to move on with other projects that shall be able to fully sustain the orphanage instead of looking for donations. The layers project will make an impact on the community in that those that don't eat proteins will find them in their environs at cheaper cost. The layers project will also be self sustaining because even that bunch when they get old, they will be sold and a new bunch will be acquired from the sale.
