This project will give 700 girls and 300 boys in underserved and poor rural communities in Accra, Tamale, and Kumasi an opportunity to play sports whiles learning life skills.
In Ghana, poor underserved and rural kids and adolescent are mostly unengaged and unsupervised leading to them being exposed to unhealthy social habits and vices such as stealing, sex, drug abuse, violence, and gambling. This project will benefit 1000 poor kids who live in underserved and rural communities with no structured afterschool sports & life skills activities.
Impact Youth Foundation will run free one-day basketball clinics for children in poor underserved communities. We will whiles and provide capacity training for local coaches to run weekly after-school sports activities.
This project will engage 1000 kids in physical activity and train young local community coaches to run sports and life skills activities that will help to reduce social vices and adolescent health challenges in poor underserved and rural communities.
